Interracial relationships attract plenty of online commentary. I see White women mocked for dating Black men—and when those relationships end in single motherhood, the commentary often becomes “What did you expect?”

But behind the labels and jokes, what actually happened? Was there a committed relationship? When did it end? Did the other parent remain involved, contribute financially, or leave one person handling everything?

This survey explores parenting after having a child with someone of another race, with particular interest in the experiences behind the “snow bunny to single baby momma” label.

Adults of all races and genders are welcome. Mothers and fathers who became their child’s primary caregiver are encouraged to share their experiences. Questions will depend on your parenting situation.
